Overview

The ABB DSTC 406 is a passive terminating unit designed for use with the DSTC 452 modem in ABB’s Advant Master Process Control System. When a DSTC 452 modem is installed to connect an SDB (Source Distribution Box) to an LDB (Load Distribution Box), the DSTC 406 is used on the SDB side as the termination unit. One terminating unit is required per modem, and it is specifically needed when the modem is a “final” modem in the communication line.
