Description
The 140-CMN-6300 is engineered for motor protection and circuit isolation. It is ideal for disconnecting motor branch circuits, providing overload (thermal) protection, and short-circuit (magnetic) protection.
The breaker features a manually operated lever for engaging or disengaging circuits. Trip settings are adjustable from 40–63 A using a precision screwdriver. The magnetic release is rated at 890 A, and the ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity ranges from 4 A to 50 A depending on voltage.
For proper installation, use #8–14 AWG copper wire with a maximum insulation rating of 75 °C, and tighten connections to a torque of 6–10 Nm (55–90 lb-in). The breaker also allows for safe maintenance procedures, enabling circuit isolation through Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) practices.
Switching Ratings for Standard Three-Phase Motors:
-
230/240 VAC: 13/20
-
400/415 VAC: 25/32
-
500 VAC: 30/40
-
690 VAC: 37/55
