Overview:
The Allen-Bradley 1756-OB16I provides sixteen individually isolated DC output points for reliable control in ControlLogix systems. While it does not include internal protection, external interface modules (IFM) or fuses can safeguard outputs. The recommended fuse is a 5x20 mm, 4 A quick-acting fuse (SOC p/n MQ2-4A).
For signal termination, compatible remote terminal blocks include 1756-TBCH and 1756-TBS6H, both 36-pin units. These remote terminal blocks are required to complete connections.
Output channels on the 1756-OB16I feature a configurable safe-state position, which is activated when the controller is switched to Program mode or when a controller fault occurs. This ensures safe and predictable operation in industrial automation applications.
