Description
The Allen-Bradley 1769-OF8 is a Compact I/O analog output module designed for use with 1769 and some 1768 CompactLogix controllers, as well as with the MicroLogix 1500 controllers. It is primarily used for driving Final Control Elements (FCE) in a control loop and for delivering signals to receiving and measuring devices.

• Conversion rate: 5 ms on all channels

• Step response to 63% output: < 2.9 ms

• Analog output range: 0–21 mA and 3.2–21 mA

Applications
The 1769-OF8 can drive a variety of Final Control Elements such as modulating control valves, variable frequency drives (VFDs), positioners, and similar devices. When integrated with an embedded PID controller in the processor, it enables automatic closed-loop control.

It can also interface with compatible receiving and measuring elements such as panel meters, data loggers, signal splitters, and other monitoring equipment.
