The Allen-Bradley 1771-ID01 is a 6-input isolated module designed for PLC-5 systems. It accepts AC voltages from 184 to 276V and DC voltages from 18 to 276V. The module measures 3.5 x 6.5 x 2.0 inches (89 x 165 x 51 mm), making it compact for control cabinet installations.

Electrical and Signal Specifications

The 1771-ID01 draws a maximum of 74 mA backplane current. It supports 220V AC/DC operation, with an AC off-state current of 0.7 mA and a DC off-state current of 1.0 mA. Signal transitions are fast, with a typical AC on delay of 20 ±10 ms and DC on delay of 10 ±4 ms. Similarly, the AC off delay is 20 ±10 ms, while the DC off delay is 20 ±9 ms.

Application and Connectivity

This module connects to ON/OFF devices such as pushbuttons, selector switches, float switches, and limit switches. For proper phasing, both input and output must use the same AC source. When driving terminals directly with an AC output module rated 220–240V, use a 3.3K ohm 20W resistor or an Electrocube snubber across the output and common.
