Installation & Setup

Pre-Installation:

  • Inform the network administrator and assign a correct IP address before connecting to the network.

  • Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver.

Unboxing:

Mini-GBIC Installation:

  • Use ESD protection.

  • Insert the module into the SFP slot and secure it. To remove, unlock the latch first.

Mounting Options:

  • Flat Surface: Use rubber feet, ensure proper airflow and access to power.

  • Rack Installation: Use included brackets; consider stability and cooling.

Stacking:

  • Use standard UTP cables in either daisy-chain or ring topology.
