The Honeywell C300 controller offers direct integration with ISA100 wireless field devices. Parameters from these wireless devices can be utilized within control strategies just like any conventional I/O. Configuration of both the Wireless Device Manager hardware module and wireless devices is performed via the same Control Builder software used for conventional I/O modules or Fieldbus devices. This seamless integration enables complete operational control and monitoring of wireless technology, allowing users to view, manipulate process data from wireless devices, and monitor wireless device alarms and events.

Transparent Integration of Smart Field Devices

The C300 controller supports transparent integration of FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus, HART®, and Profibus® devices within the Control Execution Environment (CEE). Fieldbus and Profibus data and control blocks are smoothly incorporated into C300-based control strategies via the Fieldbus Interface Module or the Profibus Gateway Module. This allows users to leverage the extensive diagnostic and field data provided by intelligent devices.

When HART devices are used with the C300, their digital information is fully accessible within C300 control strategies and passed through to operator interfaces and asset management applications such as Honeywell’s Field Device Manager and Asset Manager.
